The 2024 (CEE)NJ (Central and Eastern European Network of Jurisprudence) Conference is to take place at the premises of the University of Belgrade (Serbia), Faculty of Law on October 11 and 12, 2024.
The topic of the the 2024 (CEE)NJ conference – as in previous editions – is very broad: “Jurisprudence in Central and Eastern Europe: Work in Progress 2024”. The deadline for submitting papers is September 5, 2024.
Conference applications should be submitted by e-mail to Tanasije Marinković (tanasije.marinkovic@ius.bg.ac.rs). In addition to the applicant’s name, affiliation and e-mail address, a valid application should include a summary of the intended presentation comprising 3,700 – 5,000 characters with spaces. The oral presentation at the conference (of 25 – 30 minutes) is to be accompanied by a projection of the full text or a power point of the presentation.
Contributions to the whole gamut of jurisprudential issues, from legal philosophy and theory to social, psychological, economic or other theories of law, are welcome. Dogmatic (doctrinal) and empirical (historical, sociological, economic, etc.) studies of law with a strong conceptual content are also acceptable. The 2024 (CEE)NJ Conference will also be open (not for the first time) to participants working and/or residing outside the European area.
There is no conference fee. The schedule can accommodate online participants too. Conference participants are to cover all their travel and accommodation expenses. The host organisation will provide all participants with lunch and dinner.
The call for the conference participation will be posted at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law website as soon as possible.
Objavljeni su članci dvoje članova Zagrebačke grupe za teoriju prava, rad Marka Ćušića “Kriteriji vrednovanja prava u udžbeniku D. Hrabar et al., Obiteljsko pravo, Narodne novine, Zagreb, 2021.” (Zagrebačka pravna revija, Vol. 13, No. 1, 2024.) i rad Ane Žagar “Upotreba tradicionalnih pravnih argumenata za opravdanje tumačenja i primjene članka 8. Europske konvencije za zaštitu ljudskih prava i temeljnih sloboda u praksi Europskog suda za ljudska prava” (Zagrebačka pravna revija, Vol. 13, No. 1, 2024.).
U radu Marka Ćušića raspravlja se o upotrebi kriterija vrednovanja pozitivnopravnog uređenja obiteljskih odnosa u udžbeniku D. Hrabar et al., Obiteljsko pravo, Narodne novine, Zagreb, 2021. Prvi dio rada opisuje istraživački problem, navode se ciljevi istraživanja, detaljno se opisuje korištena metoda kvalitativne analize sadržaja te se razrađuju teme, kategorije i potkategorije. U drugome se dijelu utvrđuje koji su kriteriji vrednovanja korišteni u udžbeniku, koja je učestalost njihova korištenja te jesu li izričito određeni u predmetnom udžbeniku. Zatim, utvrđuje se koji je omjer korištenih pravnih i izvanpravnih kriterija te u kojem omjeru ocjenu (vrednovanje) prava slijedi preporučivanje boljeg prava. U zaključku se raspravlja o rezultatima istraživanja te o važnosti provedenog istraživanja na području metodologije pravne znanosti.
Rad Ane Žagar tumačenje Europske konvencije za zaštitu ljudskih prava i temeljnih sloboda od strane Europskog suda za ljudska prava prikazuje posve različito od sve proučene literature. Umjesto izdvajanja u praksi Suda razvijenih specifičnih tumačenjskih doktrina pokazuje se da Sud koristi i tradicionalne tumačenjske argumente, kako ih je popisao Giovanni Tarello. Dokazivanjem da Sud u tumačenju i primjeni Konvencije rabi argumente s dugom povijesti upotrebe, koje rabe i domaći sudovi prilikom tumačenja i primjene nacionalnih propisa, cilj je obeshrabriti ideje o proizvoljnosti tumačenja Suda u Strasbourgu i poboljšati njihovo razumijevanje na nacionalnoj razini. Metoda rada jest kvalitativna analiza sadržaja, a presude su odabrane kombinacijom namjernog i slučajnog uzorkovanja.
Objavljen je Prikaz konferencije „Pravno rasuđivanje“ (Zagrebačka pravna revija, Vol. 13, No. 1, 2024.), koja se održala u veljači 2024. u Zagrebu.

11th Annual Student Conference in legal theory and philosophy of law takes place in Belgrade, Serbia on 11-12 November 2024. Topic of this year’s edition is “Law and Social Sciences”. Languages of the Conference are Serbian and English.
