16th Central and Eastern European Forum of Young Legal, Political and Social Theorists will take place on 12-13th September 2024 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Queen Mary University of London launched a new LLM programme ‘LLM in Common Law Theory and Practice’.
The programme stats in Septmeber 2024 and combines theoretical and applied study of the common law, and offers a study opportunity for both students unfamiliar with the common law and students who wish to deepen their existing knowledge.

The Croatian Association for Legal and Social Philosophy and Theory of Law and State (CALSP/IVRCroatia) is organizing a new edition of a student conference in legal theory.
The 2nd CALSP Student Conference: “Current State and Upcoming Challenges of Legal Theory andPhilosophy of Law, 2024” will be held in person at the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb on May 3, 2024.
Contributions to a wide range of legal issues, from legal philosophy and analytic legal theory to social theories of law, are welcome. Dogmatic (doctrinal) and historical, sociological, economic, etc., studies of law with strong conceptual, theoretical or philosophical content are also acceptable. Applications are open to all undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students and run until February 29, 2024.

Lecture summary:
The author performed an analysis of the court practice of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Slovenia on the use and understanding of the notion of the rule of law. He reviewed all decisions and separate opinions in which the court utilizes this notion. He treats the rule of law as a notion with a potentially unlimited semantic range. He ascertained the content of the wording, as stated by the court with its interpretation and connected it with constitutional bases. Inspired by Fuller and Cormacain, he formulated the eight desired qualities of the Slovenian legal system as they stem from the constitutional court practice.
The 2023 CEENJ (Central and Eastern European Network of Jurisprudence) Conference is to take place at the premises of the University of Padova (Italy), School of Law, Department of Private law and Critique of Law; on September 21 and 22, 2023.
CEENJ was founded in 2005. Previous conferences of CEENJ were held in Pécs (Hungary), Osijek (Croatia), Graz (Austria), Rijeka (Croatia), Maribor (Slovenia), Belgrade (Serbia), Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Skopje and Ohrid (Macedonia), Łódź (Poland), Brno (Czech Republic), Vilnius (Lithuania), Riga (Latvia), Zagreb (Croatia), Bratislava (Slovakia), Warsaw (Poland).
The topic of the the 2023 CEENJ conference – as in previous editions – is very broad: “Jurisprudence in Central and Eastern Europe: Work in Progress 2022”. The deadline for submitting papers is 10 July 2023.
