The Croatian Association for Legal and Social Philosophy and Theory of Law and State (CALSP/IVR Croatia) is organizing a new edition of the CALSP student conference in legal theory.

The 4th CALSP Student Conference: “Current State and Upcoming Challenges of Legal Theory and Philosophy of Law, 2026” will be held at the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb on May 8, 2026.

Contributions to a wide range of legal issues, from legal philosophy and analytic legal theory to social theories of law, are welcome. Dogmatic (doctrinal) and historical, sociological, economic, etc., studies of law with strong conceptual or philosophical content are also acceptable. Applications are open to all undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students and run until March 1st, 2026.

Registration and participation in the conference are free of charge, and participants themselves bear the costs of travel and accommodation.

The preferred language of the application and oral presentation is English. The conference will be held in person.

Applications for the conference are submitted by e-mail to calspstudentconference@gmail.com. In addition to the applicant’s name, the faculty and the university at which they are enrolled, their student status (undergraduate, graduate or doctoral student) and their email address, a valid application should contain a summary of the intended presentation consisting of a maximum of 700 words and 5 keywords.
